About Waken

Waken was born in 2019 and since then has had a mission to create mouthcare products that are both effective and eco-friendly.

The brand set out to make effective products that have sustainability at their heart. They have already worked hard to make their mouthwashes carbon neutral but don't plan on stopping there! The company aim to continuously revisit and improve each of their products to ensure they are helping the planet all they can.

Waken want to encourage us with there slogan 'Don't just clean. Care'.

Sustainability

The toothpaste tubes are made from recycled and endlessly recyclable aluminium with there carton counterparts made using FSC certified cardboard.

Each mouthwash bottle is created using 100% post consumer recycled plastic. Currently the mouthwash's that Waken create is carbon neutral!

The company have managed to reduce their carbon footprint by investing in conservation projects. The investments that they are currently making are going towards a conservation project in Acre State, Brazil.

My Experience

I have tried a few eco-friendly toothpaste options over on my @eco.lexi account but struggled to find a sustainable mouthwash option until now. I was lucky to stumble across Waken online and thought I'd give it a try.

First of all, it looks so much more appealing and dare I say 'bougie' compared to plastic competitor products! The flavour that I opted for was Peppermint as I'm not a massive fan of 'mint heat' and although it still gives a slight burn after each use it's tolerable and actually tastes really good! It leaves my breath smelling fresh which is all I could ask for.

Of course I also had to have the matching aluminium cup as it's adorable! Both the mouthwash and cup look so much better on my sink so it's great to know that they are better for the planet too. Highly recommend giving this one a try!
