Supporting the slow fashion movement, mini fit fourteen...
My main focus has always been based around slow fashion and building a more sustainable wardrobe.
Now I want to share my own sustainable and slow fashion outfits with all of you over on my @alexandra.mount Instagram page! Every few weeks you can expect a new outfit with a breakdown on where I source the items, any upcycling I've done for the fit and the overall cost of each. Mini Fit Fourteen is now ready to view below!
Mini Fit Fourteen
This outfit is based around another upcycling project! I wanted to take a plain skirt and give it a little boost of new life with a new focal point. Paired with a plain basic jumper and keeping to a monochromatic look, this outfit could be easily adapted for cooler days with tights and boots!
Sourcing the Outfits
Most of these items were sourced from online vintage and preloved apps with the bag being bought new a few years ago.
Jumper
This jumper is such a great basic and is vintage Topshop. I love the flared wrist detail so much! I've since sold this on as it was a little snug around the chest so hope the new owner is loving it as much as I did!
Skirt
Another quick upcycling project to make a plain pleather skirt a little more interesting! I picked up this rivet kit on Amazon for around £6,00 and it's such a quick and easy way to spice up a piece of clothing or accessory.
Bag
I've had this bag for a few years at this point and am finally brave enough to wear it in more casual ways. It's featured quite often on my feed already and no doubt you'll be seeing it a lot more!
