Supporting the slow fashion movement, outfit eighteen...
My main focus has always been based around slow fashion and building a more sustainable wardrobe.
I share my own sustainable and slow fashion outfits with all of you over on my @alexandra.mount Instagram page! Every few weeks you can expect a new outfit with a breakdown on where I source the items, any upcycling I've done for the fit and the overall cost of each. Outfit Eighteen is now ready to view below!
Outfit Eighteen
A throwback to the sunshine on my June holiday to Rhodes, Greece! I wore this look on a day trip to the Old Town (which was incredibly beautiful) and wanted something super comfortable and breezy.
Sourcing the Outfits
Most of these items were found on second-hand apps like Vinted. The sandals are really old and the skirt was bought new after a Vinted purchase fell through! The sunglasses were also a newer purchase as I wanted a good quality pair that could withstand the heat.
Sunglasses
I bought these neutral sunglasses a week or so before the holiday. They were a new purchase from TK Maxx as I wanted a sturdier pair that wouldn't melt! I'm sure they will last many years to come and be my go-to holiday pair.
Top
This corset is vintage Next so is beautiful quality. It also fits like a dream meaning I need to try and stay my current size for as long as I can due to it being a zip back rather than true corset back!
Skirt
This skirt was a last minute purchase as the one I bought in a similar style on Vinted got cancelled by the seller (hate when that happens). The quality is amazing and I was able to get it in the 'Tall' option too!
Bag
Another cute Vinted find! I wanted a small beachy bag for this trip and this one was perfect and was used nearly everyday.
Sandals
I've had these sandals for so long I no longer know what they originally cost so I've estimated. They are super comfy and just perfect for walking around in the heat!
Sunglasses | £19.99 |
Corset | £6.14 |
Skirt | £22.00 |
Bag | £7.19 |
