Supporting the slow fashion movement, outfit seventeen...
My main focus has always been based around slow fashion and building a more sustainable wardrobe.
I share my own sustainable and slow fashion outfits with all of you over on my @alexandra.mount Instagram page! Every few weeks you can expect a new outfit with a breakdown on where I source the items, any upcycling I've done for the fit and the overall cost of each. Outfit Seventeen is now ready to view below!
Outfit Seventeen
I know I said the last look was the last autumn/winter edition for this year but apparently the British weather had other plans. This look borderlines on professional work attire with its clean and grayscale colour palette but is still super chic to wear out and about.
Sourcing the Outfits
Most of these items were found on second-hand apps like Vinted including the bag which has been upcycled from a makeup pouch. The tights and belt were bought new.
Shirt
This shirt was a St Barnabas charity shop find and being from Marks and Spencer originally is wonderful quality. I recommend everyone to have a simple, white button-up in their wardrobe!
Dress
This Prada dress was an incredible Vinted find! I have a hunch that this may have been an employees uniform at one stage but it’s so beautifully made and incredibly flattering that I had to make it into a look.
Bag
I found this makeup bag on Vinted and decided to transform it into a on-of-a-kind YSL mini handbag. I’m so pleased with how it’s turned out and have had so many compliments on it already!
Heels
Another Vinted find! These were brand new and total bargain for Next quality. I could easily style these for work or a more dressy date/event.
Belt
The majority of my belts have been bought on Amazon, the selection is huge and the prices very reasonable for the quality. I got this belt as part of a two pack but this one is incredibly easy to incorporate into most outfits.
