Supporting the slow fashion movement, outfit five...
My main focus has always been based around slow fashion and building a more sustainable wardrobe.
Now I want to share my own sustainable and slow fashion outfits with all of you over on my @alexandra.mount Instagram page! Every few weeks you can expect a new outfit with a breakdown on where I source the items, any upcycling I've done for the fit and the overall cost of each. Outfit Five is now ready to view below!
Outfit Five
For this look my main priority was comfort! I had a trip to Cambridge and had a tour in an electric car and a punting experience so I wanted something that was breathable and that I could move in. I kept to a simple black and white palette and added in small silver details to keep it casual and comfortable!
Sourcing the Outfits
Most of these items were brought new but have been in my wardrobe for years! My accessories and jewellery are often bought new for hygiene reasons so you will find them linked below.
Top
I've had this plain tee for absolute YEARS and still find myself reaching for it. Simple basics like this go with so many outfits so are such a sound investment.
Trousers
I bought these trousers on clearance from Next years ago and never thought to wear them in everyday looks until now! They are super comfy and lightweight so I'll definitely be looking to style them again in a more casual way.
Trainers
These trainers again! I think this has now turned into a reason why it's important to invest in some decent footwear and something that you'll wear again and again.
These are the Court Borough Low 2 style for those of you interested.
I've also seen a few of these on Vinted so it's definitely worth a search if you're looking for the same style sneakers!
Bag
This little envelope shoulder bag is my only designer bag and I'm so glad I chose something simple in a neutral colour! I can dress this bag up for date night or style it down like in this look for a little adventure around a new town or city.
Necklace
My daily necklace when I'm in my silver jewellery phases. I wear this often on it's own or layered up with other dainty silver pieces.
